Homemade Laundry Detergent - Liquid
4 Cups Water
1 Bar Fels-Naptha Soap
1 Bar Ivory Soap
1 Cup Washing Soda or Laundry Detergent
1 Cup Borax
1 5 Gal Bucket

Grate both bars of soap and add to a large pot with the 4 cups of water. Cook on Low to Medium heat until soap is disolved.
Pour cooked soap into bucket and add Washing Soda/Laundry Detergent, and add Borax. Stir well until disolved and Fill bucket
with hot water. Stir well and let sit over night covered to thicken.

Stir well and fill Laundry Detergent Bottles or rinsed and well cleaned Milk Jugs 1/2 with detergent and 1/2 with water. Shake them well
before each use as they are going to gel and thicken a bit more.

***Special Notes*** Make sure you use Fels Naptha Soap or it doesn't thicken properly.

My friend and I have made this with both washing soda and liquid laundry soap and it has worked fine.

Gelled it will have the consistency of slime.

Alwasy shake well before using.

You may have to let it sit a little longer to let it thicken.

Makes 10 Gals

Approx Cost for 10 Gals: $3 or less
